Library Xeriscape Project Scope
This document outlines the details for the xeriscape landscaping project, which aims to create a water-conserving landscape with an educational trail.

Educational Trail
The educational trail should feature the following:

The trail needs to meet ADA guidelines using crushed granite as the surface.

The trail color design should be different from the majority of the other crushed granite colors.
-
The trail entrances should be flush with the sidewalks and all other areas should slope into the project area for water retention.

The proposal will need to include a budget for the project with the following line item expenses:

The proposal will need to include artist renderings of each area.
Project Schedule
The proposal will need to include an estimated project schedule.
Project Location and Square Footage
The project is located at 1001 Navajo Ave. in Parker Arizona and is approximately 19,416 square feet.
Demolition

Remove the top soil and dead bermuda grass down below the edge of the sidewalks to allow for crushed granite and rock installation.

Remove all existing irrigation that can’t be used for the purpose of this project.

Remove all existing plants and shrubs with the exception of the yellow bell near the entrance to the Library.
Installation

Layout design

Grade per design.

Install irrigation system, valves, valve boxes etc.

Install heavy duty landscape fabric.
-
Plant trees, shrubs and succulents.
-
Place granite, river rock, 1” minus and boulders.
