Work to be performed under this Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) includes maintenance, repair, alteration, electrical, heating/air conditioning, demolition, paving, earthwork and waterfront work in both family housing and industrial
/office buildings. Work may involve design-build or design-bid-build projects as well as new construction of buildings or facilities to include some or all the above elements of work. Scope includes work on Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), Virginia and Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina. This acquisition is a set-aside to small business concerns. This acquisition is a competitive Small Business Setaside. This award is a firm-fixed-price (FFP), multiple award, IDIQ contract. This is a multi-year award which includes a 6-year ordering period with an overall ordering ceiling of $400M. SEED PROJECT SCOPE: REPAIR INSTALL AIR SHOWERS AND DECON ROOMS, FAC. 361
Facility 361 serves as one of the most mission critical buildings at Langley Air Force Base and the F-22 fighter program. Each bay services F-22 fighter jets using various means and methods. As a result of some of the sprays used, Hangars A, B and C require workers to go through decontamination and change rooms upon exiting each bay. This project proposes that four air showers are installed at the entrances to the paint bays. In addition, changing areas need to be added after the air showers to allow for the proper clothing to be put on and further avoid contamination. The intent of this project is to adjust the floor plan as necessary and convert the respective entrances to Hangar Bays A, B, C, and Room 136/137 into 2 separate rooms for a total of 8 new rooms. It is understood that this project does not include all elements/spaces identified in the “Clean-Dirty Schematic” included in UFC 4-211-02. Respirator cleaning stations, dirty locker room and break room are elements/spaces that are provided outside of this project.
