PROJECT INFORMATION A. Project Identification: The Project consists of alterations and improvements to the Fred S. Engle Education Center for the Chester County Intermediate Unit located on 107 Schoolhouse Road in West Grove, Chester County, Pennsylvania as shown on the Contract Documents prepared by Breslin Architects dated January 18, 2024. The project shall consist of interior alterations work of approximately 55,100 square feet. The Work shall also include a two-level building addition of approximately 3,510 square feet and outdoor playground and basketball court areas. B. ALTERNATE No. A-1 The Contractor shall state the difference in price from the Base Bid should the Owner decide to substitute a Thermoplastic Membrane Roofing System specified in Section 075423 in lieu of the Base Bid SBS Modified Bituminous Roofing System specified in Section 075220 as indicated on the Contract Documents with Insurance being provided by Owner in accordance with the Contract Documents. ALTERNATE No. A-2 The Contractor shall state the difference in price from the Base Bid should the Owner decide to eliminate the requirement for General Contractor’s field office, and instead use area within the existing building as directed by the Owner for field office and project meeting activities.
