| Scope |
This multi prime prevailing wage project consists of the construction of the new Community Learning Center at the Thaddeus Stevens College and will consist of two floors, combining for a total of 13,247 gross square feet. The first floor of the facility will feature a small daycare facility, an office, and a community room. The second floor will include an office, two classrooms, and a maker space lab. On the exterior, the proposed building will be clad with masonry and composite metal panel materials that are complimentary of the adjacent Thaddeus Stevens College Greiner Campus. The structure will be set into an existing hillside, replacing a former municipal garage that currently occupies the site. Views from the Greiner Campus will reveal a single-story facade with entry and signage to connect to the campus. On the east side of the new facility, a two story facade will be visible from South Broad Street. Additional parking will be provided for the project via lots on the north side of the property, connected to a second entrance into the building. A playground will also be provided.
