Scope |
This is a Federally funded project for Caltrans involving cold planing, HMA paving, & signal modifications in San Mateo County near Half Moon Bay, California.
DBE Goal: 21% - Federal-aid project no.: SCNH-P001(707)E
Engineer’s Estimate: $29,000,000
Contract Time: 300 working days Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes on this project from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for any portion of the work, but specifically the following suggested items: Lead Compliance Plan; SWPP Plan; Stormwater Annual Report; Stormwater Sampling/Analysis; Noise Monitoring; Construction Area Signs; All Roadside Signs items; Traffic Control & Flagging; Traffic Control device items, including messaging signs and barriers; Erosion control items; Hydraulic Mulch; Inlet Protection; Fiber Rolls; Silt Fence; Erosion Control Netting; Hydromulch & Hydroseeding; Compost; Incorporate materials; Clearing & Grubbing; Concrete Removals; Sawcutting; Ditch Excavation; Subgrade Geogrid; Pavement Grinding; Grind Bridge Deck; Remove Bridge portion; Remove unsound concrete; AC Dike; Tack Coat; Asphalt Oil supply/delivery; Structural Concrete items; Concrete Barrier & transition; Minor concrete; Detectable Warning surface; Clean/Seal Joint; Prepare Bridge Deck surface; Bridge Deck treatment; Rapid Setting Concrete patch; Polyester Concrete Overlay; Pipe & drainage materials; RSP fabric; Adjust utilities; Misc. Iron & steel; Guardrail System, including removals; Treated wood waste; Rock Slope Protection; Striping & Marking, including temporary & removals; All delineators & markers; Paint curb; Paint bridge identification; Electrical/Maintain TMS Elements; Modify Signal & Lighting; Temporary Shuttle Service (daily/weekly rates); Street Sweeping; Hauling of construction materials and Hauling of export from the site.

All non-DBE subcontractors are also encouraged to utilize DBE suppliers for their work, where possible.

Granite Construction Company is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions.
100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite Construction will assist with bonding costs for subcontractors. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license and current DIR number.
