- Bid Hold: Proposals shall remain valid for 90 days
- Liquidated Damages (LDs): Yes. MACC clause 52.211-12 Liquidated Damages (LDs) applies to this task order. LDs are established at $722.08 per day for the first and last day of inexcusable delay, and $467.92 for each interim day. The stated LDs are considered fair and reasonable only as an estimate of probable damages.
- Q&A: RFI's due by 8/19/2025 at 2:00 PM AKDT. Please submit your RFI's to us by 8/18 at 2:00PM AKDT.
- Site Visit: First pre-poposal site visit on 8/12/2025 at 9:00 AM AKDT at Building 9480 (Past).
PROJECT INFO:
- 1.1 PROJECT LOCATION: Project FXSB 24-1401 shall be completed as a routine requirement at or near building 9480, on Joint Base ElmendorfâRichardson, AK. Project hours are standard work hours.
- 1.2 UNIQUE REQUIREMENT:
- The Design Narrative calls out two different options for the final location of the generators and supporting equipment. This project has selected the “option 2” location in the Design Narrative, or the grass area across Mundy Ave located NW of B9480.
- The Design Narrative and the Design Drawings were based on “option 1”, which assumed the removal of the existing RSS building. The RSS building is to remain and to be protected-in-place. Therefore, any work associated with the removal of the RSS building and its foundation/utilities as called out in the Design Narrative or the Design Drawings shall not be completed with this project.
- There is an active communication line that parallels Mundy Ave located within the grass area where the generators/supporting equipment are to be located. Existing communication line shall be protected in-place and shall remain active during construction.
- 1.3 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will design and construct a new secondary power system for B9480. Work includes the designing and construction of 2 new generators with enclosure, switchgear with enclosure, 5,000 gallon above-ground fuel tank, and trenching to connect the secondary power system to the building. All new generators, switchgear, and above-ground fuel tank will be supported by reinforced concrete pads. Project also includes the removal of the existing generators (and supporting equipment) and the removal of a 10,000 gallon underground diesel storage tank.

Take note in the SOW 2. Design 2.2 & 2.3, it states the design narrative has the wrong location noted, from where the RFP is calling for the generators and enclosure to be located. The FXSB 24-1401 Drawings with Redlines attachment shows the Option 2 location where JBER wants the Generators, Switchgear enclosure and the 5000 Gallon Fuel Tank.
