This is a Federally funded project for the City of Santa Cruz involving bridge retrofit, roadwork, and utilities near the harbor in Santa Cruz, California.
Engineer’s Estimate: $41,000,000
Contract Time: 750 working days Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes on this project from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for any portion of the work, but specifically the following suggested items: Survey; Staking; Construction Area Signs; Traffic Control and Traffic Devices; Roadside Signs; Temporary K Railing; Temporary Crash Cushions; SWPP Plan; All Stormwater Reporting, Sampling and Analysis items; All Water Quality Monitoring and Plan items; Soil Testing; Asbestos Compliance; Lead Compliance; Biologist; All Erosion Control items, including Fiber Rolls; Soil Binder; Bioretention Soil Media; Hydroseeding; All Planting and Irrigation items; Drainage; Pipe and Drainage Materials; Joint Utility; Phased Sewer Force-main, Diversions and Bypass; All Underground Utility items, including Removals; Truss Supports; Building Structures Relocation and/or Removal; Engineer Office; Temporary Building; Temporary Fencing; All Temporary and Permanent Fencing and Railing items; Concrete Removals; Saw Cutting; Pavement Removal; HMA Paving; HMA Dike; Slope Paving; All Concrete Piling items; Drilled Hole; Drill/Bond Dowel; All Minor Concrete items; All Structural Concrete items, including Bridge, Footing, Retaining Wall, and Approach; Precast Concrete Girder; Joint Seal; Concrete Pumping; Architectural Treatment; Rebar for Concrete Structures; Polyester Concrete Overlay; Rock Slope Protection & RSP Fabric; All Striping and Marking items; All Electrical items, including Signals and Instrumentation; Trucking of Construction Materials.

Granite Construction will break down items of work to facilitate DBE participation on this project. All non-DBE subcontractors are also encouraged to utilize DBE suppliers for their work, where possible.

Granite Construction Company is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions.
100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite Construction will assist with bonding costs for subcontractors. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license and current DIR number.
